Let’s Eat 2 Episode 1 Review
Goo Dae Yeong is a foodie. He goes to great lengths to satisfy his palate. That includes riding a fishing boat to taste freshly-caught squid even if it means getting seasick in the process.
Watch Let’s Eat 2 Legally Here
Dae Young goes to all sorts of trouble because of his picky palate. Once, according to the people who know him, he was sued for defamation by a restaurant owner after he blogged about the awful taste of the food he had there that resulted in the bankruptcy of the restaurant.
But lest you think he only knows how to eat, he also works as an insurance agent by day – which also gets him into trouble with some old ladies.
From Seoul, Dae Young moves to a small town and got himself a modest apartment from the landlady, Kim Mi Ran.
There, he meets two of his neighbors – an old lady named Lee Jeom Yi living in the first floor of the apartment.
And Baek Soo Ji – a reclusive writer who lives on the same floor.
Dae Young, with his overflowing charm and honey tongue managed to get on the good graces of the old lady, Lee Jeom Yi. He has no such luck on Baek Soo Ji though, who seems to pick every fault she can see in him.
Baek Soo Ji’s house look is far from stellar although I definitely have a crush on this pink letterman sweater.

As for Goo Dae Young, he isn’t lacking in style. Love the polished vibe of his button down shirt and tapered pants that he layers with a long coat and accessorized with a backpack.
Surprisingly, Baek Soo Ji cleans up nicely. I love this spring coat. Her Play No More piece is definitely a conversation piece.

Bae Soo Ji also works at the government office. And on the side, she accepts different writing-related jobs. Unfortunately, she doesn’t get compensated well for it.
That means going home with a bunch of stuff from her employers and feasting only on them to save money.
As for Lee Sang Woo, the government administrator and Soo Ji’s boss, he has to deal with everyday loneliness.
Dae Young tries again to ingratiate himself to Soo Ji. He invited her and the rest of the occupants of the apartment to dinner. Soo Ji, who only had a measly rice and seaweed for dinner, agreed only if she gets to pick the restaurant.
She picked a Chinese restaurant and ordered a hefty amount of food.
We are served with a few minutes of food porn in here. Try not to drool over your screens.
When it’s time to pay, Soo Ji snickers at the back, expecting Dae Young to pay for a hefty amount. But to his luck, they were the chosen customers who get to eat for free.
Get Baek Soo Ji’s Bag (Seo Hyun Jin Bag):
OiOi Boxing Drawstring Bag, 78,000 Won
Failing to get Dae Young to shell out money, Soo Ji asked for a round 2 despite gobbling an insane amount of food at dinner. Dae Young suggested they get toppokki, a suggestion that earned him ire from Soo Ji.
It turned out that Soo Ji was Dae Young’s classmate. She used to be fat and fancied Dae Young because of his kindness. He always defended her from bullies, you see. Soo Ji was so smitten with him that she would often eat toppokki at Dae Young’s family’s restaurant. But she found out later that Dae Young’s only nice to her to get her to eat at their restaurant.
Dae Young apologized but Soo Ji still plans to make his life miserable. She has sworn off eating toppokki and since then, she has lived her life in recluse.
Baek Soo Ji’s Sweatshirt (Seo Hyun Jin Sweatshirt) is the:
